What are they wearing? Choose five pictures and describe:

Resultado de imagen de Dressed people

Remember: you have to use She / He is wearing... for clothing; and She / He has got... for other elements (like hair style)

PD.- Try to do the best possible. Your final English score depend on it!

Clue for tomorrow's exam.

Type "Dressed People" in Google images. They're going to appear many persons with different clothing. If you can describe them, you will do an awesome exam tomorrow :-)

PD: Don't worry about tomorrow: as I always do, I will help you with the exam.

PD2: If I were you, I would pay attention to the first picture (the image where you can see five girls and five boys)  ;-)

PD3: The grammatical structure that you have to use tomorrow is: He's wearing / She/s wearing...

Funny medical stories.

“Here,” says the nurse, handing the patient a urine specimen container. “The bathroom’s over there.” A few minutes later, the patient comes out of the bathroom.
“Thanks,” he says, returning the empty container. “But there was
a toilet in there, so I didn’t need
this after all.”

My patient announced she had good news … and bad. “The medicine for my earache worked,” she said. “What’s the bad news?” I asked.
“It tasted awful.”
Since she was feeling better, I didn’t have the heart to tell her they’re called eardrops for a reason.

Heartache song

It's a heartache
Nothing but a heartache
Hits you when it's too late
Hits you when you're down
It's a fool's game
Nothing but a fool's game
Standing in the cold rain
Feeling like a clown
It's a heartache
Nothing but a heartache
Love him 'til your arms break
Then he let's you down
It ain't right with love to share
When you find he doesn't care for you
It ain't wise to need someone
As much as I depended on you
Oh, it's a heartache
Nothing but a heartache
Hits you when it's too late
Hits you when you're down
It's a fool's game
Nothing but a fool's game
Standing in the cold rain
Feeling like a clown

Spanish spooky stories IV.

Resultado de imagen de torre sangrientaThe bloody tower.

In Jerez de los Caballeros, a town placed in the south west of Extremadura, there is a legend about some ghosts of templar knights which are living in the "bloody tower": the keep of the Templar castle in the village.

In accordance with this legend, some templar knights were living in this fortress. But the Pope and the king decided that they must be executed (beacuse issues of faith and gold) During several days Templars were besiege in Jerez de los Caballeros, and finally cornered in the keep. The massacre was terrible: more than 30 templar knights were killed or beheaded. Old chronicles point that the blood flowed downstairs to the courtyard. A tragedy which is still remembered at the village, and which gave to the keep its actual name: "Bloody Tower".

Resultado de imagen de matanza templariosBut the knights didn't go. At least completely. Many witnesses affirm that in the new moon nights, if you go to the castle, you'll probably listen human whistles. Also far metallic noises, as if someone were walking by the ramparts. People explain that noises and whistles are produced by the souls of Templars, which are calling their horses. Before die, they swore to return to holy land on their steeds for fighting in the Crusades. They whistle and whistle with the new moon; but no horse comes to the call. For this reason, they can't abandon the caslte, and they are condemned to dwell the tower... Forever.

Dracula.

One of the most famous Halloween characters is Dracula, the vampire. In this report I'm going to answer some questions about him.
Resultado de imagen de vlad tepes
Who was Dracula?

Dracula was a real character in the 15th century. His true name was "Vlad Tepes", the impaler. He was a noble prince who fought against the Turkish empire. Old chronicles point that he was very sadist and cruel. He used to "impale" his enemies: that is, he skewered them alive in stakes through the anus until they died.

Where did he live?

He lived in Valaquia (actual Romania), ruling this land during 6 years (from 1456 to 1462)

Resultado de imagen de dracula castle night

What did he do during his life?

He expent his lifetime fighting against everybody. This is because he had many enemies: Turkish, nearby Christian kingdoms, nobles from his own country...

How did he die?

Of course, in a battle. He was killed by his own soldiers, who confused him with an enemy.

Resultado de imagen de bram stokerAnd why the legend?

The actual myth of vampires was created by Bram Stoker, an Irish writer. Inspired by the historic character of Vlad Tepes, hr wrote "Dracula". In this masterwork he invented all the features that we associate today with vampires: stakes on the heart, garlic for scaring them away, bloodsucking, inmortality...

The ball of light in Magacela.

Magacela is a town next here; about 50 km away. There, there is a legend about a strange light which appears on a quiet lagoon. People says that in October, when the night comes, sometimes, a ball of light flies over "La laguna de los Santos" (The lagoon of the saints) There are many witnesses of this rare light. Miguel Ángel Tena, a man from Castuera, watched the light in 2010, when he was sitting down next to the water. And Mary Gutiérrez, in 2014, swears that she also saw the light flying over the lake.

But this is not only today. There are ancient chronicles (Fray Diego Becerra de Valcárcel, in 1684, points that he saw the same light)  and old pictures in a dolmen which represent a ball of light flying on this area.
